The little blue boat abandoned off the coast of Hilton Head Island has become a social media phenomenon for the community, as it's clearly visible as one traverses the bridge going on or off the Island. It has survived countless tropical storms, low and. high tides, and folks have come to look for it on their way to work every day. It most recently survived the last named tropical storm of 2022 which, coup-led with the accompanying King tide, relocated it from one side of the bridge to the other, where it perches happily upon Pluff mud at low tide and hopefully is providing a habitat for some of the wildlife. It's become a symbol, of sorts, of survival and adaptation. Kind of cool to think it navigated the bridge pylons during that storm and doesn't appear to have suffered for the trip! We hope it will remain there! I have it framed in a rustic barn wood frame, and is available at Coastal Exchange, 1230 May River Rd., Bluffton, SC 29910
